Trans Closet of the Hudson Valley

a new project for and by members of the local trans community

providing clothes, gender-affirming supplies, and other resources without question or cost

Our Mission

The Trans Closet was founded to combat clothing and economic insecurity in the Hudson Valley’s transgender community; to help reduce people’s dysphoria and support their self-expression; to facilitate the sharing of social, emotional, and creative support within the LGBTQ+ community; to redistribute a wide variety of resources to the community; and to develop a platform to signal boost community bulletins and the work of other justice organizations.

If you are a trans or nonbinary person living in the Hudson Valley, we would love to connect with you!

Send us an email at transclosethv@gmail.com to introduce yourself and learn more about obtaining free clothing and gender-affirming accessories through our swaps, meetups, and events. We also provide surgery care packages for folks planning on receiving gender-affirming surgeries.

We have monthly, in-person drop-in hours at the Dutchess County Pride Center, located in Hopewell Junction, NY. We are there on the first Saturday of every month from 12-3 PM. Learn more and get directions here.
